"Muku" means "clean and pure." The brewer's wish for those gathered at a drinking party to toast in harmony and with the same spirit, free from any impurities or resentment, is embodied in this "Muku." As if that wish was answered, this sake was chosen as the toast sake at the welcome reception for the "G7 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting" held in Niigata City in 2023, adding a touch of elegance to the opening ceremony.
TASTING NOTES
Fruity aromas of white peach, quince, banana, and a hint of muscat grapes are combined with aromas of linden and orange blossom, refined rice aromas such as shiratama dango and joshinko, and aromas of fresh milk and almond milk. In addition, a subtle peanut butter-like aroma from aging gives a rich impression.
The first impression is a well-balanced blend of sweetness and umami, reminiscent of the rice flavor, and this well-balanced flavor also gives it a smooth impression, with a long, lingering finish, typical of Junmai Daiginjo.
FOOD PAIRING: It makes the flavor of the food more vibrant, mellow and rich. Perfect for Cod milt Yukimi Nabe, Grilled pufferfish milt, Terrine de Poisson (fish terrine), Braised flounder with beurre blanc, Brillat-Savarin cheese (72% milk fat triple cream type).
