Professional Reviews:

ROBERT PARKER (USA): 93 points. "The nose is subtle and very harmonious, with aromas of red cherries and some aromatic herbs. The palate is soft, it has a velvety texture with polished, round tannins, and there is a subtlety and harmony that is laudable."

TIM ATKIN (UK): 94 points.

GRAPE VARIETIES

83% Tempranillo, 9% Graciano, 5% Mazuelo, 3% Garnacha.

WINEMAKING

Grapes are first de-stemmed and then fermented in stainless Steel tanks for 8 days at controlled temperature in constant skin contact. During fermentation pumping over and punching down operations are regularly carried out. These processes ensure both effective and gentle colour and aroma extraction.

AGEING PROCESS

The wine is aged for 19 months in 225 litre American oak barrels.

PAIRING

Grilled beef tenderloin, steamed and grilled hake loin, prawns, truffles; baked unsalted cod with onion and green peppers; green asparagus and carrot purée; blue cheeses and sour cherries.
