An aromatic nose of ripe peaches and cool cassis. In the palate, the playful acidity cuts through exotic fruits and black currants. The slate minerality keeps this riesling fresh and crisp.
Vinification
The hand-picked grapes were crushed carefully and the must partly fermented with indigenous yeasts in old oak barrels. After a long and cool fermentation the wine is filtered carefully and bottled 5 months after harvest. To preserve the wines character wine treatment during vinification is kept to a minimum.Recommendation
Delicious to drink young as a fresh and playful summer wine, this Riesling has potential to improve with up to 5 years of cellaring. Served at 8°C this wine will make a great partner for salads, fish and white meat. It excels in pairings with seafood and spicy dishes.Customer Reviews
