Tasting Notes: The first impression of this Marqués de Murrieta 2020 is amiscellany of raspberry, blueberry and cherry aromas enhanced by hints of thyme, rosemary and sandalwood.
Straightforward and precise with a juicy fruity profile, moulded by fine tannins and a fresh, pleasant finish.
Grapes are mostly sourced from our Ygay Estate: 300 hectares of vineyards surrounding the winery in the southernmost point of Rioja Alta with mainly calcareous-clay soils. Altitude ranges from 320 to 485 meters.
Food Pairing: Lightly smoked hake kokotxa, Pil pil sauce, olive, and soy; galician green chickpeas, organic egg yolk, and white truffle; line-caught baby squid, roasted squid jus, and "redondilla" olive oil.
