The Château La Fleur-Pétrus is unquestionably in the pantheon of great Pomerol wines. It is a Domaine which took its name in the 18th century from the localities where its parcels are located, Pétrus and La Fleur. It was the first acquisition in 1950 by Jean-Pierre Moueix, a young wine merchant based in Libourne and of Corrézienne origin, who owned Pétrus. Since that date the vintages of the property have not ceased to rise in quality as much as in reputation among wine lovers throughout the world.

Tasting Notes: Medium to deep garnet colored, the 2009 la Fleur-Pétrus rolls out of the glass with sensuous kirsch, black cherry preserves and chocolate box scents with touches of unsmoked cigars, dried mint and star anise. Full-bodied, rich and opulently fruited in the mouth, it has beautiful red fruit sparks and a finely grained frame, finishing long and lively.

Food Pairing: Pairs excellently with roast duck, grilled lamb chops, Beef Wellington, mushroom risotto, and aged cheeses, offering delightful dining experience with its rich flavors and elegant structure.

ABV: 14% / Varietals: 91% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot / Origin: Bordeaux, France
