2017 Charles Melton Grains Of Paradise Shiraz Barossa Valley – Deep colour. Evocative, powerfully sweet, expressive Barossa Christmas cake spices. With the cloves apparent, even more so when you taste it, as if you had put a clove bulb on your tongue, or you had spooned the leftovers from the mixing bowl and had the clove bulb in it. Nutmeg & mint perfumes with it. Not fruity but quietly confident rich, sweet mid palate but with a touch more grip than the Popes.
