The golden-colored Marguet Sapience 2008 Premier Cru Brut Nature is richer, denser and more generous on the nose than the 2007 and is also provided with ripe fruit aromas along with lovely notes of brioche, almond cookies and nougat as well as delicate lemon and very fine iodine suggestions. Blending 50% Chardonnay with 25% Pinot Noir and 25% Pinot Meunier and disgorged without dosage or the addition of SO2, this is a vibrantly pure, fresh, straight and vital cuvée with a lot of energy and finesse. The finish is highly delicate yet tight and stimulating. This comes along more textured and vinous in a wine glass, but the finesse from the Lehmann Jamesse Prestige glass is unrivaled. 93 points Wine Advocate
