On the south of the  Côte de Beaune, the village of Chassagne became Chassagne-Montrachet in the 19th century, thereby benefiting from the notoriety of the mythical Grand Cru it shares with Puligny.

Founded in 1731 in Beaune by Michel Bouchard, Bouchard Père & Fils, is one of the oldest wine estates in Burgundy, perpetuating tradition for nearly 3 centuries and 9 generations. This desire to build up an exceptional estate in Côte d’Or endured through the generations and acquisitions in the best Villages were added throughout the 19th century and again in the early 20th century.

Tasting Notes: Exhibits a complex bouquet with aromas of ripe citrus fruits, such as lemon and grapefruit, along with notes of tropical fruits, white flowers, and subtle hints of oak. On the palate, it is full-bodied and rich, with a creamy texture and well-integrated acidity. Flavors of ripe orchard fruits, vanilla, and toasty oak are often present, leading to a long and lingering finish.

Food Pairing: Pairs excellently with a range of dishes, including seafood such as lobster, crab, or scallops, as well as poultry dishes like roasted chicken or turkey. It also complements creamy pasta dishes, risottos, and aged cheeses.
