Suntory Hibiki Harmony 700ml

Hibiki Japanese Harmony is Suntory's flagship blended whisky. It draws malt whiskies from the Yamazaki and Hakushu distilleries together with grain whisky from Chita, and the components are matured in five different cask types, including Mizunara Japanese oak and ex sherry casks.

Suntory's own notes give rose and lychee on the nose, with a hint of rosemary and a mature, sandalwood woodiness. The palate turns to a honey like sweetness with candied orange peel and white chocolate, and the finish is subtle and tender, closing with that unmistakable trace of Mizunara. It is bottled at 43% ABV and the colour is amber.

Serve it neat, or as a highball the way it is most often drunk in Japan: one part whisky to three parts very cold soda, stirred once. It is elegant alongside sushi, grilled fish and lightly seasoned food, and it remains one of the most reliable gift bottles in Japanese whisky.
