Scallywag Speyside Blended Malt is a small-batch Scotch whisky created by Douglas Laing & Co. It is crafted from a selection of Speyside single malts, including Mortlach, Macallan, and Glenrothes. This whisky is bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill filtered, and naturally colored.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Sweet and grainy with notes of freshly milled malt, lemon zest, orange peel, redcurrants, and a hint of woody spice.
Palate: Soft and oily, with initial spice followed by flavors of tangy lemon sherbet, stewed apples with cinnamon, caraway seeds, and a touch of sour fruit.
Finish: Medium length with lingering notes of apples, apple skin, spice, and pastry cases.
