Paringa Estate is a family-owned winery established in 1985 by owner and winemaker Lindsay McCall in Red Hill South on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula. The estate specializes in cool-climate varieties, particularly Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Its wines are divided into Peninsula, Estate and premium Single Vineyard ranges. “The Paringa” sits at the pinnacle of the portfolio, produced from old vines in the home vineyard and only made when the vintage produces fruit considered worthy of the label.
TASTING NOTES:
A powerful, structured and elegant Pinot Noir showing concentrated red berry and cherry fruit, with savory herbal nuances, spice and subtle earthy characteristics. Fine tannins and bright acidity provide structure and freshness, while integrated French oak contributes additional complexity. The finish is long, refined and persistent.
The style of “The Paringa” is more concentrated and structured than a light, fruit-forward Pinot Noir, as it represents the winery’s top single-vineyard tier. Paringa describes this series as the purest expression of its terroir, sourced from the oldest blocks of its home vineyard.
FOOD PAIRING: Pairs beautifully with roast duck, grilled lamb, mushroom dishes, roast chicken and soft cheeses.
ABV: 13% / Variety: Pinot Noir / Origin: Australia
