Old Monk Supreme XXX Rum Very Old Vatted 750ml

Old Monk is a dark rum brand produced by Mohan Meakin in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, India. Distilled from molasses and aged approximately 12 years in Oak casks. 

Honored the world over, Old Monk had been awarded gold medals at Monde World Selections since 1982. It is very old vatted rum blended with highly matured spirits. Supreme comes in a special bottle, with the shape of a standing monk. The top part of the monk's head is the bottle cap, which also doubles up as a peg measure.

Nose: Dark brown sugar and maple as well as rich baking spices (vanilla, some spicy cinnamon and cloves, and a bit of pungent nutmeg).

Palate: Molasses flavors dominate with dry peppery wood spices adding additional character. These wood spices carry elements of cinnamon, clove, dry tobacco, and hot black pepper. Dark brown sugar follows mixed with baking spices and vanilla, as well as strong cocoa flavors, cola, and black tea.

Finish: Hints of licorice and the lightly bitter flavor of walnuts followed by a nice glow of wood spice and cinnamon.
