Emilín is Lustau's sweet Moscatel, made entirely from Moscatel grapes in Jerez, in Andalusia, and aged in an American oak solera. The solera is the point: young wine is fed into older wine year after year, so what reaches the bottle is a blend of many ages rather than a single harvest.
It is rich and sweet, with dried fruit and warming spice running through it, and bottled at 17% ABV. Lustau recommends it with citrus-flavoured desserts and egg-based sweets, which is a very Andalusian way to finish a meal.
The 375ml half bottle is the sensible format for a wine you pour in small measures. Serve it lightly chilled, around 12 to 14C, in a small glass. Beyond dessert it is very good with blue cheese, vanilla ice cream, or simply on its own after dinner.
