Hazelnuts, honey, sherry and oranges arrive first, then the whisky releases quieter details: ginger, kumquats, sandalwood and dark chocolate. A rich honey sweetness rises with hints of pepper and dried fruit, before an exceptionally long, lingering finish of soft, perfectly balanced smoke.
