Tasting Notes: A deep garnet Amarone made from 70% Corvina and 30% Rondinella grown on marl soils in the upper hills of Valpolicella Classico. The grapes are dried for about four months before pressing, and the wine rests 24 to 36 months in barriques and large Slavonian oak. Expect wild cherry jam, spice and a touch of cedar on the nose, then a full, dry palate of black cherry with a long, rounded finish of cocoa and spice.
