TASTING NOTES: With a deep, impressive purple colour, the wine's powerful aromas begin with floral notes and then a variety of berries, including blackberry, blueberry, and cherry. There are also notes of black pepper, candied fruit, and berry syrup. On the palate, the aromatic sensations are repeated, showing the wine to be vibrant and dense, with tannins that caress the palate and provide the wine with a very long finish.
Food Pairing: A full-bodied, big wine, ideal with all kinds of meat; especially game and lamb served as tartare, carpaccio, shank, or ribs. Because of the tannins and acidity, it is also perfect with charcuterie (venison sausage goes very well) and great with cheeses such as Gouda, Edam or Brie.
