Tasting Notes: From a moderate season the winery rates highly for Chardonnay. Hand-picked, whole-bunch pressed and wild fermented with full solids, then aged nine months in French barriques (52% new). The nose shows struck flint, mushroom and savoury notes with lemon custard biscuit, wet limestone and sea spray. The palate is taut and long, with fine dry texture and grapefruit, clotted cream, ginger and lime leaf.
